Building up confidence in your job search.

Hello Monday! 🌺 (Last Monday of 2020)

What words are you speaking today about your job search?

Entering the workforce can be scary especially during a pandemic, but having confidence will carry you far in your job search.

Let me tell you there are still jobs available and my customers have jumped into ➡️high salary roles ⬅️during this pandemic.

How having self-confidence helps you get the job you desire and help you along your career journey.

1. Be clear about the role you are seeking. Don't simply job search and have no clear direction of what career role aligns with your work experience. Define the role that matches your work experience and skillsets and focus on securing that role. Keep a clear vision of where you desire to be.

2. Accept the NO and keep going.

Applying for positions may take time and you will encounter a few ”NO”s along the way.

➡️No, we have selected a more qualified candidate.

➡️No, unfortunately, you were not selected to move to the next stage of the interview.

➡️No, your skills were not a good match for this role but we encourage you to continue to look for other opportunities with us.

➡️No, we are sorry you were not selected for this role.

Keep moving until you get the ”YES” that matches clearly with your career goals.

3. Keep a positive mindset along the way

Staying positive during a job search can help you build up the self-confidence that will help you stay focused along the way. How you see yourself is how others will see you as well.

▫️What can I do during my job search to stay positive?⬇️⬇️⬇️

➡️➡️➡️➡️Pray, meditate, exercise, listen to motivational videos, keep a gratitude journal, stay around positive people. ⬅️⬅️⬅️⬅️

Having a professionally written resume can add to your confidence but even with the perfect resume in hand, lacking confidence will keep you from the position. ⬅️
